Dr. Daniel Ridout Recognized for Excellence in Gastroenterology

With 38 years of experience, Dr. Ridout joins the Eastern New Mexico Medical Center as its Head of Gastroenterology
Roswell, NM, February 3, 2016, Daniel Ridout has been recognized by Worldwide Branding for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in gastroenterology.
A medical professional with an expertise in clinical gastroenterology, Dr. Ridout has dedicated his career to the health and wellbeing of patients for 38 years. Now the head of gastroenterology at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center, he believes that the education process must be a staple in any care plan. “By educating our patients on what’s happening in their bodies, how we can heal them and how to prevent future issues, it alleviates any fears or doubts that they have and allows for trust and better practices,” he says. Board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology, Dr. Ridout previously served as chief of gastroenterology at Riverside Shore Gastroenterology Hospital for 10 years. In recognition of his professional excellence, Dr. Ridout was the recipient of Worldwide Branding’s Humanitarian Award for 2016. This award will be in addition to countless other honors, including being selected as a fellow in the American College of Gastroenterology.
Dr. Ridout earned an MD at the University of Cincinnati College of medicine in 1979. He went on to complete his internship in internal medicine and gastroenterology at the graduate hospital at the University of Pennsylvania, followed by a residency at the same hospital. During this time, Dr. Ridout also began building his certification portfolio, achieving accreditation for endoscopic ultrasonography, endoscopic laser therapy, advanced cardiac and life support, advanced trauma and life support and sub-specialty certification in gastroenterology. As he looks ahead to the next phase of his career, Dr. Ridout plans to continue offering top medical care to patients in the New Mexico region.
