Daniel L Ridout III MD, AGAF, FACP is an expert in clinical gastroenterology and community-based medicine whose background and values allow him to proficiently help clients as a practiced internist. Dr. Ridout is proud to assist those in his community by performing gastroenterology procedures, consulting within Eastern New Mexico Medical Center and educating patients on preventative care and treatment. His hard work and community service donned Dr. Ridout the recipient of several awards, and he continues to build on his 30-plus years of commitment to the health care field.
In 2014, Riverside Medical Group recognized Dr. Ridout among a select group of clinical providers with the highest scores in patient satisfaction and quality of care. That same year, Dr. Ridout was an honored speaker at Tidewater Community College Registered Nursing School, where he delivered a commencement address. Dr. Ridout was chosen because of his commitment to volunteer teaching for future nurses in the community. More recently, Dr. Ridout was inducted as a fellow in the American Gastroenterological Association. He has also been featured in Top 101 Industry Experts, as well as the seventh edition of Pro-Files Magazine. On October 31, 2017, Dr. Ridout was elected as the Fellow of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
Dr. Ridout completed a residency in internal medicine at the Graduate Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and completed fellowship training at the Graduate Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Gastroenterology, Northampton/Accomac Counties community. He also received an MD from the University of Cincinnati. He also earned a board certification in internal medicine as well as a board certification in gastroenterology. Dr. Ridout is a certified chief medical resident and a fellow of the American College of Physicians, the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the American Gastroenterological Association.

The Eastern New Mexico Gastroenterology Liver Clinic that Dr. Ridout came to in 2016 is reporting a tremendous success both medically and financially. The clinic has gone well beyond simple Hepatitis A, B, and C treatments with its service to help patients with diseases such as Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease, Storage Diseases of the Liver, Alcohol Liver Diseases and more. In this venture, Dr. Ridout has trusted his assistant, Dr. Jessie Surla to run the clinic with excellent business acumen.
